Trains and Snow, Embracing Patience

There’s a train crossing between Tall Oaks Camp and Conference Center and everything to the west of us.

Often, when slowed down at this crossing by a passing train, we take the opportunity to embrace patience, settle in to watch the train go by, and enjoy the pause in our busy lives.

In this case, with the sun setting it was extra special, so we grabbed our camera, started counting cars, and captured this photo. We stopped counting when we got to 200.

We also experienced our first snow last week, very pretty and nice to experience the change of seasons. It also encouraged us to slow down and appreciate the beauty.

We want our past and future guests to know we are here and ready to host any small group in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines. We go above and beyond to do everything we can to keep you and your group safe.

If you would like to bring a small group, perhaps a holiday family reunion, and be encouraged to slow down and appreciate the views, we are here to create a place for you to create meaningful experiences.
