Retreat House Offers Special Winter Get-Away Rates for Families & Small Groups
United Camps, Conferences & Retreats (UCCR) announces Northern California camp and retreat center offers families an alternative to hotels for winter vacations during pandemic with special rates.
In this time of pandemic and limits on gatherings, the Community of the Great Commission (CGC), a camp & retreat site in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, is offering its retreat house to families and small groups.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for small family groups to enjoy the winter season in the fresh air of the mountains,” says United Camps, Conferences & Retreats Director of Reservations & Communications, Tina Heck.
Claar House accommodates up to 20 guests and has a full kitchen, dining & seating areas, and plenty of restrooms. The living area features a stone fireplace with sofas and comfortable seating. A large deck is perfect for stargazing.
If a family is lucky, snow on the ground means a winter playground for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. "The terrain on the ridge is relatively flat and is ideal for simple winter sports," continues Heck.
Claar House has special rates to provide families with a favorable opportunity for a winter family holiday.
The Community of the Great Commission is one of ten camp and retreat facilities managed and operated by United Camps, Conferences & Retreats, a non-profit organization committed to the stewardship of these facilities and providing places where people can gather in natural settings.
