It feels like you are in a beautiful dream the moment the meandering quaint two-lane road opens up to the view of Crystal Lake. You may find you catch your breath and settle into the sweet slow speeds to admire the water’s blue hues on one side of your vehicle and the adorable houses on the other. Curving around the road sets a mindful tone as one heads to Crystal Conference Center; the whole vibe immediately puts one at ease.
To live on Crystal Lake in Michigan is a blessing no one takes for granted, but to be able to rent lodging or event space at a camp and conference center is an unexpected delight.
Crystal Conference Center provided a place for many years for church members to gather and enjoy the camaraderie of togetherness in such a stunning location. The owners continue to join together and spend time on the property and they also offer it to other groups of people looking for a place to gather.
Unique to Crystal Lake
In many ways, Crystal Conference is unique to the event and lodging industry. It is not just a conference center, nor just an event space, or a camp, it is all three. It is also the only event space which also provides hotel alternative-style lodging on the lake – a combination that makes for a sought-after location. Where else do you find an outdoor/indoor experience that can house small and large groups, and provide meals, where guests can walk across the street to enjoy sunbathing, swimming, canoeing, or fishing?

The Heart of the Property
When you turn off the lake road and drive into the property you pull directly into its center, a green grassy field with lots of space to gather, hang out and relax.
Relax Among the Trees
Guests are free to enjoy the swinging chairs, the picnic benches, or lay a blanket on the grass and read. Whatever your heart asks for, you can create here among the green, all while hearing the lapping waves of the water.
The Perimeter
Scattered around the center of of the property are different buildings, all subtly nestled and tucked so they blend in with the trees.
A short walk leads you up a stepped mild hill to the dining hall.
There are dorms with bunk beds, lodges, and even a house with all the amenities which can sleep up to 14 guests.
Down towards the lake is an open air chapel which is a great place for groups to gather or even hold a wedding.
Though many of the lodging options have meeting areas inside, there is a dedicated indoor meeting space called the Fellowship Hall

Hotel Alternative Style
Missions House
Just peek through the windows of Missions House and to see the lake, the tennis court, a beautiful private lawn. This house has an enclosed porch, a large living room (shown), dining room, kitchen, a handicapped accessible bedroom and bathroom, and 5 different bedrooms to choose from.
Cedar Lodge
This self-contained retreat space sleeps 10 guests, has 2 bathrooms, a central living room, large outdoor deck and kitchenette. Bring your own bedding and choose from single and double bunk beds.
This building can also be rented through Airbnb.
Oaks Lodge
The properties newest building sleeps 6 guests with 2 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, living room, kitchenette (utensils and cookware not provided) and a large outdoor deck. Guests provide their own bedding and choose from 3 single beds or doubles.
Beeches Cabin
For a rustic experience, Beeches Cabin sleeps up to 40 guests in 4 rooms and has 4 bathrooms, a small kitchenette with a few pans and dishes
Each room has 10 single bunk beds and guests bring their bedding.
Birches Cabin
Birches Cabin sleeps up to 38 guests in 4 rooms. Each room offers 8 bunk beds and a bathroom.
Guests bring their own bedding.
Pines Cabin
Pines Cabin has a screened porch, 4 bedrooms, and sleeps up to 38 guests. Each room has a bathroom. 3 of the bedrooms sleep 8 guests and 1 bedroom sleeps 6.
Guests bring their own bedding for single bunk beds.
Dining & Meals
Homemade meals and salad bar are available for all groups served in the Dining Hall which seats up to 150 guests. There is a BBQ area which is available and some of the lodging options have fully equipped kitchens for your use to cook your own meals. Groups can arrange, at additional cost, to rent the commercial kitchen in the Dining Hall.
