Two Types of People
They say there are two types of people.
People who grew up going to camp, and those that will go to camp soon.
To the people who grew up going to camp, there is no question about the impact it has made in our lives. With cheshire smiles these memories are imbued deeply within our souls.
To the people who haven’t grown up attending camp, now is the time to recognize the value of gathering with others. Now is the time to discover the power of healing from isolation and loss.
We know that memories made at camp are humbling, potent and healing.
At UCCR, we know how important a well functioning facility is to making new memories. We will be ready to host you again, because what we do is vital, critical and foundational to the healing of people in our nation.
We will host your group to allow for the mending that is needed, in togetherness.
It is because of this great impact on people that we are asking you today, if you have the means, if you have appreciated the experience you have had, or will have at one of our facilities, to please make a financial donation.
As we heal as a nation, may we come together, with new standards of care and do the things that make life worth living: connecting, growing, healing, feeling, expressing, and loving.
Thank you for giving what you can to maintain the places that make great things happen for this generation, and many generations to come.
