This week the Web of Life (WOLF) Field School is busy preparing for our new Outdoor Learning In-Person Program starting at the end of August at both Monte Toyon Camp and Camp Arroyo.
We are excited to invite small, socially distant, consistent groups of 12 or fewer students to experience our outdoor classroom.
WOLF School's naturalist teachers will offer students daily school support and outdoor science education. Students can enjoy socially distant learning time and hands-on activities in addition to being offered:
Wifi for School Zooms
Homework help and supervision
Nature hikes in the forests and hills
Engaging in outdoor science lessons
Fun (and socially distant) hands-on games and exploration
Next Generation Science Standards/STEM learning
Physical activity

Also, WOLF School is seeking to partner with traditional schools, home schools, and nonprofits to provide outdoor spaces and outdoor teaching expertise. With endless outdoor space, WOLF School at Camp Arroyo, Livermore, and Monte Toyon Camp, Aptos can help provide regular outdoor instructional space and educational staff for school programs.
According to recent research from the Lawrence Hall of Science and Green Schoolyards America, outdoor learning may be the best way for schools to open safely to their students suggests the Bioneers in this article.
