This Old Oak

Jeff, the Site Director at Camp Lodestar spotted this old oak tree while walking around the camp property several years ago. Recently, with more time on his hands he ventured out to revisit this tree.

Sitting in a fairly open space, this oak isn't competing for sunlight in a way that other oak trees on the property are. The extra sunlight allows it to grow bigger than most of the other oaks and also keeps a large parameter around it clear.

This old oak has more character than the others and we thought you’d enjoy it’s uniqueness.
