Tentsile View with Cookies?

It always nice to have a place to take a break on a hike, that’s where this Tentsile, otherwise known as a tree hammock, comes in handy. Tentsiles were originally created to be treehouses because they are portable. Yet because they are so comfortable, they are often used as hammocks.

Here are a few tired hikers taking a rest at the Swanson Outdoor Classroom at Monte Toyon Camp just a short hike from the dining hall.

This three person tensile hammock is suspended between three trees and is super easy to set up, but not as easy to get into. Though once up, it’s a great place for a little bird watching, a nap or to enjoy a good book.

Next time you visit Monte Toyon this hammock is available and If you ask nice, maybe the kitchen will give you a few cookies to enjoy once you are up there.
