Dining & Meal Service

BBQ Area

The Bobbitt area has a large BBQ and several picnic tables. The staff can provide BBQ meals, or groups that cook their own meals may use it as well.

Own Cooking Options

There are fully equipped kitchens in Bobbitt Hall and Claar House. Kitchens include refrigerators, ovens, stovetops, dishwashers, coffee makers, and a microwave oven. Cooking and serving utensils are provided.

The Holland Summer Cabin area has an outdoor Cook Shed. This outdoor cooking area has a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and storage cupboard.

Groups can arrange, at additional cost, to rent the commercial kitchen in the Irvin Dining Hall.

Sample Menu (Meals Served Family Style)

Menu choices must be discussed and decided between the site director and group leader 30 days in advance. Prices may vary as costs may fluctuate.

Breakfast Options

All breakfasts include hot oatmeal, a cold cereal bar with yogurt, fresh fruit, and orange juice.

  • Country breakfast homemade, of course! Served with biscuits, gravy, sausage, and scrambled eggs.

  • French toast served with bacon or sausage.

  • Build your own breakfast burritos with eggs, ham or sausage, taters, and cheese, or eat it all separately.

  • Pancakes served with hot syrup and bacon or sausage.

  • Potato casserole served with bacon or sausage with a fresh baked good.

  • Egg scramble prepared with or without ham and veggies, served with a potato patty and a fresh baked good.

  • Continental breakfast assortment of freshly homemade baked goods, yogurt and cereal bar, and fresh fruit platter.

Lunch Options

All lunches include salad & veggies, fresh fruit or homemade cookies, juice, water, and iced tea.

  • Burgers (cook-out): freshly grilled hamburgers, you-build-it condiment bar, with baked beans, french fries, or chips.

  • Sandwich bar assorted breads, cheeses, meats, veggies, and condiments, served with soup & chips.

  • Nuggets with mac & cheese made from scratch – served with green salad or veggies and dip.

  • Chili mac served with a side of cornbread and coleslaw.

  • Homemade pizza with a variety of toppings available.

  • Hot dogs served with all the right stuff: nacho cheese, chili, coleslaw, and more!

Dinner Options

All dinners include salad, bread, dessert, juice, water, and iced tea.

  • Pasta dinner or lasagna freshly made with or without meat, served with green beans and warm garlic bread.

  • Baked chicken thighs seasoned with teriyaki or Italian style served with rice, mashed potatoes, cooked carrots, and delicious homemade dinner rolls.

  • Build your own burrito, fajita, or taco bar with flour tortillas, grilled chicken or ground beef, refried beans and Spanish rice, and yummy toppings. Dessert is a surprise!

  • BBQ pork loin served with cheesy au gratin potatoes, California veggie blend, and freshly made French bread.

  • Baked potato bar with lots of fixings.

  • Meat loaf made from scratch with love!

Dinner Dessert Choices

Chocolate cake, peach cobbler, brownies, rice krispie treats, spice cake, ice cream and more!

NOTE:

  • Ice water and coffee are available when the kitchen is open, from 6 am to the end of dinner.

  • If you don’t see what you want, ask; the site director will do everything possible to accommodate your requests.

  • Not all items are always available. We will inform you of any necessary changes.

  • Some dinner & lunch selections can be interchanged.
