SITE DIRECTOR – Camp Sierra
Nestled in the pines, surrounded by a recreational wonderland, is a place to get away from it all. Camp Sierra offers year 'round enjoyment on 50 acres of Sierra National Forest splendor at an elevation of 4,800 feet. Sparkling streams, green meadows, lush forests and rugged hillsides make Camp Sierra an ideal mountain retreat during any time of the year.
Conveniently located just 50 miles east of Fresno (between Yosemite and King's Canyon national parks), Camp Sierra offers complete lodging, dining and meeting facilities for church groups, family and school groups, family reunions, youth organizations, weddings, business retreats or any group activity. The camp is minutes away from Shaver Lake and Huntington Lake, Sierra Summit Ski Resort and hundreds of miles of hiking trails and trout streams.
United Camps, Conferences & Retreats seeks a full-time, year ‘round Site Director to manage all aspects of the camp operation. Start date for position will be October 1, 2008.
Qualifications
Two years of education or experience in program leadership
Two years combined education or experience in two of the following categories:
Business Administration
Food Service
Facility Operations
One year experience in customer service
Be at least 25 years of age
Hold a valid California drivers license and good driving record
Willingness to live at and work in a camp or conference setting
