Job Title: Retreat Worker
Department: Operations at Camp Arroyo
Reports To: Site Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must be willing to test for Covid each week, as required

  • Criminal background checks are required

  • Must enjoy working at camp and be a happy influence on the customers and your co-workers

  • A job history of delivering great service through housekeeping is a big plus!

  • Insurable driving record

  • Reputation as an awesome co-worker

  • Have a job history of great attendance

  • These positions require being outside (rain or shine) to move from one building to another

    RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full time or part time available for those with experience in commercial housekeeping or janitorial services

  • Clean and sanitize camp areas including Dining Hall/Cafeteria, Offices, Restrooms, Pool Bath Houses, Cabins, Cabin Bathrooms, Infirmary, Permanent Pit Toilets, Outdoor Amphitheater, and Picnic Areas

  • Perform daily routine cleaning while students and campers are in camp, cleaning before and after groups arrive and depart, as well as regular deep cleaning projects

  • Respond kindly to requests and guest questions

  • Assist in moving materials and supplies

  • Clean windows and walkways indoors and outdoors

  • Keep outdoor gathering areas and walkways (including pool deck) clean of excessive leaves, branches and dirt

  • Cooperate with all staff to ensure the quality of the program

  • Initiate, strengthen and maintain good communication with other staff, supervisors, adult and youth campers and visitors

  • Communicate every day with Supervisor and Team about Janitorial & Housekeeping progress, operations and needs

  • Attend and actively participate in trainings, meetings and special events, as scheduled

  • Follow UCCR and WOLF policies and procedures, including those related to child abuse prevention

  • Perform other duties, as assigned

    BENEFITS

  • The starting pay is $18-$19 per hour

  • Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

  • Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
